TERMS
Plain-English rules for using Layerheart during public beta.
Using Layerheart
Layerheart is a beta toolkit for building, saving, sharing, and playing Daggerheart-compatible tabletop content. You may use Canvas, Studio, Vault, campaign tools, public creator profiles, and Premium features according to your account status and the limits shown in the app.
You must not misuse the service, attempt to bypass limits, disrupt other users, scrape private data, probe security controls, or use Layerheart for illegal, harmful, abusive, or infringing activity.
Accounts and beta changes
You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account. During beta, features, limits, names, pricing, layouts, creator tools, sharing, and storage behavior may change as the product evolves.
Layerheart tries to protect saved work, but beta software can fail. Keep separate backups of important campaigns, stat blocks, uploads, notes, and exported files.
User content
You keep ownership of content you create or upload, subject to any rights you grant when sharing it publicly through Layerheart. You grant Layerheart a limited license to host, store, process, display, sync, and deliver your content as needed to operate the service.
- Only upload content you own, created yourself, have permission to use, or are legally allowed to share.
- Do not upload infringing, unlawful, hateful, abusive, private, malicious, or deceptive material.
- Public creator content can be reviewed, hidden, removed, or returned for edits.
Premium subscriptions
Premium subscriptions are processed through Stripe. Premium unlocks or raises selected product limits and features shown in the app. Subscription availability, pricing, and included features may change for future billing periods.
You can manage billing, payment methods, invoices, and cancellation through the Stripe billing portal where available. If you cancel, Premium access normally remains available until the end of the paid billing period unless Stripe, Layerheart, or law requires otherwise.
Payments
Stripe processes Premium subscriptions and related billing portal sessions. Stripe or payment providers may calculate, collect, withhold, report, or remit VAT, sales tax, payment fees, or similar amounts where required by law or payment-provider rules.
Users are responsible for their own local compliance unless Layerheart expressly states otherwise.
Availability and liability
Layerheart is provided as beta software without warranties of uninterrupted operation, accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or error-free behavior, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Layerheart's liability is limited to the greater of 100 USD or the amount paid by the user to Layerheart during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. This does not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without prejudice to mandatory rights that may apply under EU or local law. Unless mandatory law requires otherwise, disputes shall be resolved by the competent courts of Madrid, Spain.
Daggerheart compatibility
Layerheart is an independent, unofficial toolkit compatible with Daggerheart. It is not affiliated with, endorsed, sponsored, or approved by Critical Role, LLC, Darrington Press, or their partners.
This tool may include or reference materials from the Daggerheart SRD 1.0 under the Darrington Press Community Gaming License. Daggerheart, Darrington Press, and related marks are trademarks of Critical Role, LLC.
